Ben Carland
Ben Carland returned to North Carolina in 2007 to found The Obsidian Collective and pursue bringing greater media production to his hometown area in the Appalachian Mountains. He is responsible for the overall operation of The Obsidian Collective and heads The Collective's film division. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Filmmaking from Florida State University and is building a career of writing and directing feature-length films.
When he's not writing, hiking in the mountains, or frightening his neighbors with his bagpipes, Ben can usually be found stargazing through a telescope or watching too many movies.
