Bohemibot Soundtrack

The soundtrack for Bohemibot was released last month under the Obsidian Collective label, and I can’t believe it’s finally finished! It was a huge score, written for an epic-sized orchestra… it features screaming choirs, blaring brass, soaring strings, and larger-than-life percussion. The music sequence spans 215 tracks, and 6 dedicated computers are needed just to run the session! Beyond the tech stuff, my main concern was to find the perfect sound to match the tone of the film. It was a delicate juggling act, keeping the energy of the music high while creating an atmosphere to help convey the thoughts and emotions of the characters.

Tim Starnes (music supervisor) was in charge of the final mix. The man has golden ears! He created a breathtaking 5.1 overall mix for the film, but also created a specific stereo version for the soundtrack. The music came out sounding powerful and sweet… everything I was hoping for! This is the version that you can check out on iTunes, Rhapsody, and emusic.com.

To see this demanding project come to such a beautiful close brings me unbelievable satisfaction, and I’m excited to share it with OC community. I hope you enjoy listening!
